Come one!! Come all!!  Monthly gatherings are beginning!!

In the past we have held gatherings in one location, on the same night each month.  This format did not meet the needs of our community –  for some, the distance was too far or the night conflicted with other events.  So with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are trying a new format.
But first – why are gatherings important?  Gatherings make the Christian community visible.  We encourage and inspire one another. We will have an opportunity to develop and maintain relationships with pilgrims from walks 1 to 67.  New leaders will be cultivated, as we reach out to each other in prayer and communion.
In an effort to meet the needs of our community, gatherings will now be held in different churches throughout our community.  The host church will choose the date, time, fourth day speaker, and provide communion elements.   No refreshments are necessary- we will each bring our own beverage.  And as each month progresses, the locations will vary.  Expect to sing, pray, engage in floating reunion groups, hear a short Fourth Day talk, with a clergy response, and worship with Holy Communion.  Time frame – 60-90 minutes.
Drum roll please!!!
Our November gathering will be held  at Ewell-St. Paul’s UMC (422 West St., Clayton,  DE).   The Emmaus community is vital and strong in this church,  and they have graciously agreed to host.  So join us on November 6th at 7 p.m.. for a glorious evening.  If you can come, please wear your nametag and cross from your weekend.  Bring your purple Pilgrim’s guide and songbook, if you have one.  And bring your own beverage.  See you there!
